Pool Leak Detections

With RPR Pools

Are you worried that your pool may have a leak, and are finding yourself online looking up "leak detections near me"? Leaks can lead to significant water loss, increase utility bills, and cause damage to your pool structure and surrounding areas. Detecting leaks early is crucial for maintaining the integrity of your pool and ensuring a safe swimming environment.

Pool leak detection refers to the process of identifying and locating leaks in swimming pools. These leaks can lead to significant water loss and increased utility bills, as well as potential damage to your pool's structure. Early detection can save you money and prevent more extensive repairs.

Common signs of a pool leak:

  • Rapid water loss. If you notice that your pool’s water level drops significantly within a few days, it’s time to investigate.

  • Wet Areas Around the Pool. Puddles or soggy ground near your pool can signal a leak.

  • Cracks in the Pool Deck: Visible cracks can be a sign of water escaping from the pool structure.

  • Increased Water Bills: A sudden spike in your water bill may indicate a hidden leak.

At RPR Pools, we specialize in pool leak detections.

Here's a look into what our leak detections entail:

We use a syringe to apply concentrated dye close to the areas a leak is suspected, as well as the skimmer, drains, lights, suction lines, and all returns. We also test any cracks in the plaster, pool valves, pumps, filters, and heaters. Our goal is to ensure there is no stone left unturned.

If a leak is present, the color will be sucked into the pool crack or fissure causing the leak. The dye identifies the area and the water movement into the fissure. No need to worry, the dye dissipates in the water.

If a leak is found inside of the pool, temporary epoxy patches can be made to stop the leak, which is always complementary with a 30 day warranty. If broken lines are located, pressure tests and underground microphones will be used to pinpoint the exact location.

Estimates will be provided if additional repairs are needed underground, behind pool walls, or on equipment. The turn around time on your leak detection report will be anywhere from 24-48 hours.

Don't ignore the signs of a pool leak. A pool leak detection prevents further damage that could be more expensive in both materials and time down the road. In most cases we can patch it up without draining your entire pool! If there are larger repairs necessary - like underground pipe replacements or skimmer issues- rest assured our team is here for you with competitive rates on estimates so you're always informed about what's happening with your property.
